Album Analyses

Hey guys, welcome to Matt's Music Reviews. I needed something alliterative, so I went with Album Analyses. Basically, whenever I listen to a new album, my thought's go here. As is tradition, let's get you up to speed. I generally like specific albums by specific artists, but genre wise, I generally like ska, I like The Offspring, I'm a sucker for video game soundtracks. Generally, I find movie soundtracks pretty weak, with some exceptions. John Williams has some bangers, I think Vangelis is alright. If it's fun to play on Rockband, chances are I like it. I know a lot of 80s-90s pop, with some 2000s thrown in there. Weezer's blue album goes pretty hard. Synthwave is cool. I am a certified garage-punk enjoyer. Trocadero is my favorite band ever. Of all time. That should about do it.

Yeah Yeah Yeahs

This is the Yeah Yeah Yeahs' debut album, though they put out a couple of EPs beforehand. I started listening to this because the song Maps was on Rockband and it was fun enough. Honestly, I think it's one of the weaker songs on the album I think Cold Light was a pretty good track. Overall, I think the album is pretty solid, I liked the secret song at the end, it was pretty good. I enjoyed listening to it. Overall, I give it a 4 out of 5. These reviews aren't going to be super long, most albums that aren't soundtracks are under an hour, with some outliers (looking at you Daft Punk, love those funky robot dudes) so these reviews are going to serve more as records as to what I've been listening to.
